This wonderful painting was produced by Gwen Whicker one of the Falmouth group of painters. Her maiden name was Cross and she married the Australian painter Frederick Whicker (b. 1901) After training in Bristol she exhibited very sucessfully at all the major venues including the Royal Academy. There is little written information relating to this brilliant artist.
